Title: My Hair Transplant Experience in Bucharest
Post by: coldplayman on Dec 07, 2023, 07:16 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm 45 years old and I wanted to share my recent experience with hair transplantation. A few years back, I had a hair transplant, but honestly, the results weren't what I expected.

I decided to have my hair transplant procedure at Avra Institute because they are cooperating with the Seneca Medical Group team which is very experienced in the direct FUE technique.

We did the procedure over two days. On the first day, they transplanted 2,920 hairs in my front zone. On the second day, they worked on the crown, adding 2,249 hairs. It's been almost a week since the procedure, and I'm sharing how it looks now.

I'm really hopeful this time around. The team at Avra Institute was great, and the process was smoother than my first experience. I'll keep updating as I see more results!

Would love to hear if anyone else has had experiences with hair transplants, especially in Bucharest. Any tips for the recovery phase?

My friend,
Your first transplant is very bad indeed. Now as for the second one, it looks clean with proper placement, direction and angle. Now, in the hairline it looks like you will have a fairly dense result, the same will be true in the A zone if all goes well. However, in zones B and C (top), I don't think the grafts you put in are enough to give you a very good coverage. By the way, how many grafts did you put in because you are talking about hairs (although I think the important thing is indeed the hairs and not the grafts since they are what ultimately give the result). Hypothetically with a ratio of 2 and a bit hairs/graft you must have put in over 2,600 grafts, which with the distribution I see should give you a satisfactory result but, as I wrote above, sparse at the top.

I'm sure you'll see a dramatic improvement, but I'm also not sure you'll achieve satisfactory density everywhere. In any case, it looks like a clean and neat piece of work. Keep us informed.

Hello Coldplayman, can you post some more photos of your current situation? Also, are you currently using Minoxidil or Finasteride?

Hi Admin, this is my current situation. I don't use minoxidil or finasteride. When can I expect to see improvement?

After a hair transplant, you'll start seeing some new growth in about 3 to 4 months. But it can take a bit longer, around 12 to 18 months, to see the final results. During this time, you might notice some hair falling out and then growing back.
